Clean up voice recordings from meetings, phones and memos

Meeting recordings, phone voice memos, lectures and interviews are rarely made somewhere quiet. Upload the file and the AI removes the noise and room echo, evens out the volume, and gives you a version people can actually listen to.

How to clean up a recording

  1. Step 1

    Find the file

Meeting apps save recordings to your computer or cloud drive; phones keep voice memos in the recorder app. Save or share the file to your device.

  2. Step 2

    Upload it here

The audio file as it came out of the app. Video files work on Premium; the sound is taken from them for you.

  3. Step 3

    Compare and download

Switch between the original and the cleaned version while it plays, then download MP3 or WAV.

Where your recording probably came from

  • Zoom: local recordings are saved as an MP4 video plus an M4A audio file. Upload the M4A on any plan; the MP4 needs Premium.
  • Google Meet and Microsoft Teams: recordings are saved as MP4 videos in your drive. Uploading those needs Premium; on the free plans, export the audio track first (most editors and phones can save it as M4A or MP3).
  • iPhone Voice Memos and Android recorders: share the memo as a file (usually M4A) and upload it.
  • Lectures and interviews: whatever your recorder produced, WAV or MP3 is typical.

What changes, and what does not

Every voice in the file is cleaned: keyboard noise, fans, traffic and the echo of the room come out, and the level is evened out so quiet speakers are easier to hear. The words, the timing and who said what stay exactly as they were.

It does not split people onto separate tracks, and it cannot pull apart two people talking at the same moment. Call audio that was heavily compressed on the way in improves, but stays limited by what reached the file.

Recording other people

If the recording includes other people, make sure you have their permission to record and to process it. Files are used only to produce your result and are deleted automatically after 7 days.

Questions about cleaning up recordings

Can I clean up a Zoom or Google Meet recording?

Yes. Upload the M4A audio file on any plan, or the MP4 video on Premium, and download the cleaned audio as MP3 or WAV.

Does it work with several people in one recording?

Yes. It cleans every voice in the file. It does not split speakers onto separate tracks.

How do I upload a voice memo from my phone?

Open this page in your phone's browser, tap Choose a file and pick the memo, or share the memo to Files first and pick it from there.

My recording is long. Can I still use it?

Without an account you get 3 files up to 3 minutes each, 6 minutes in total, with no sign-up. A free account takes 30 minutes per file and 60 minutes of audio per day, and Premium allows up to 5 hours per file, 10 hours of audio per day, and fair use of 100 hours per 30 days.

Which files can I upload, and what do I get back?

On every plan: audio files (WAV, MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG and Opus). Video files (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI and WMV) need Premium; the sound is taken from the video and you download the cleaned audio. Results download as MP3 or WAV.

What happens to my recording?

It is used only to make your result. It is never used to train models, and both the upload and the result are deleted automatically after 7 days.
