Privacy policy
What happens to the audio you upload, what we store about you, and how long any of it lasts.
Last updated
The short version
- Your audio is used to produce your result, and nothing else.
- We do not train models on your recordings.
- Finished audio is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
- You can try the service without creating an account.
- We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising trackers.
The audio you upload
When you upload a recording we decode it, run it through our processing model, and store the result so your browser can play and download it. That is the only purpose it is used for. Everything produced from it is deleted automatically 24 hours after processing, by a scheduled job rather than by hand. You can also delete any recording yourself at any time.
Using the service without an account
You can process a limited number of files without signing up. We issue your browser a signed session token and store no name, no email address and no password. If you later create an account, the recordings from that session move across to it.
What we store if you create an account
- Your email address, used to identify you and sign you in.
- A display name, if you give one.
- A hash of your password. We never store the password itself and cannot recover it.
- Your plan, and a record of how much audio you have processed.
The usage record is append-only: deleting a recording does not erase its usage entry, because otherwise a daily allowance could be reset by deleting files.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Requests go through the contact page.
Security
Audio is transferred over encrypted connections, and a recording can only be downloaded by the account or session that created it. No system is perfectly secure, so plainly: if you have a recording that must never leave your own machine, do not upload it to any online service, including this one.
